@SharonOwensBook Dr. Benn did the best documentary TV series in the 1970s exploring folklore and strangeness. He was groundbreaking. A popular academic who was sympathetic to his subject. A million miles away from the buffoonery of ‰Û÷ghost reality shows‰Ûª and militant sceptics.

@SharonOwensBook The cunning tradition in my family with Granny Ash – known as being a ‰Û÷man-fixer‰Ûª – was never to charge or accept payment. She would take a gift only if the client was happy with the result and even then the gift was usually a cake or jar of jam.
