@kimmcurran @cw_spn From Gervase of Tilbury having a run in with ‰Û÷Grant‰Ûª to his/its appearance in the Weychester manuscripts, that demon colt seems to have got around a fair bit in mediaeval England. (Definitely worth Googling Gervase of Tilbury and Grant).

@kimmcurran @cw_spn Nothing in Hookland is made up, just remembered differently. Being from a nation with a somewhat different relationship to firearms, we English still often go for the older sense of the word first.
