@johnreppion @EllenJRogers My favourite Stephen King book is Salem‰Ûªs Lot. It is infused with hope. Awful happens, but one person can make a difference, bravery is not crushed and evil is faced.

@johnreppion @EllenJRogers Currently my gums are turning black, my teeth are about to fall out, my digestive system has packed up and my cell count is crazy. If I get through this, I couldn‰Ûªt afford to replace my teeth and looking at having any medical issue in a No-Deal Brexit make my shiver.

@johnreppion @EllenJRogers Horror has comfort in it. The familiar monsters, the old terrors are often a solve against uncertainty. Horror can be absolutely bleak or tinged with the best of humanity while looking at its worst. Horror is always the mirror of us.

@johnreppion @EllenJRogers For me, I have no desire for pornography in any form. Years ago I interviewed Bill Hicks who talked about the ‰Û÷pornography of doom‰Ûª surrounding Revelation Christian and survivalist culture. I want my horror as the erotica of terror not tawdry splatter-porn.

@oshanohun Growing up among coastal superstations as a child, I learnt that tides carve maps inside you, that salt-winds tattoo your bones. The sea is one of our great mysteries and we dance with it.
