Faeries live in every blackthorn thicket, dance around each old rowan tree. Most modern children know the wisdoms of the land by instinct as it seems their parents have forgotten these truths of folklore. ‰ÛÒ #CLNolan #FolkloreThursday

Hooklanders have a phrase I am fond of – barrow dark. It refers to an absolute blackness you can peer into which gives no physical hint of what it contains, yet simultaneously tells you soul: ‘Danger lives here’. – #CLNolan https://t.co/jBYyTJ9gyv

I’ve noticed Weychester ghost walks, they leave out the alleys and streets who can claim only working class ghosts. No phantom rat-catchers, no tapping shoemakers, no shade of seamstress. Only the lower class spirits made grand by blood and murder get mentioned. – #MattAdams https://t.co/xXqmjFafZ3
