@LadyLiminal1 @andypaciorekart @CastlesInSpace @paulychilds Cannot abide. The emotional depth of cappuccino froth. All surface glamour – beautiful cinematography, sound Et al – and no substance. Offends the pagan in me as well. Demonstrates the director‰Ûªs usual poor understanding of faith.

@LadyLiminal1 @andypaciorekart @CastlesInSpace @paulychilds It is a rancid affair. Is it as bad as Hereditary? Almost that bad and Hereditary is not a film you ask people if they have seen, but one you ask if they have stepped in lately.

@paulychilds @LadyLiminal1 @andypaciorekart @CastlesInSpace Stand for what works for you, but it is to my mid the most lionised anti-pagan piece of work while simultaneously being an unneeded love-letter to The Wicker Man. The sort of love-letter that should have its writer in court of charges of either of theft of DNA or stalking.

All that is needed for fear to grow is a place, a strong story and a child who recognises that some shadows are cast without need of candle nor sun. – #CLNolan https://t.co/AFBh10Esfm

Fear of Fethrower has soaked into the landscape, distorted routes people take to their homes, art in churches and conversations across ale for centuries. You can call it a mere fear fable, but stories have power to persist, power to shape the shivers of a region. – Dr. M. Benn https://t.co/6soRHOYNJR

@ScottBeadle23 Being a devotee of the works of Jaques Vall̩e, I would suggest that the first UFO stories are older still than the Magonian cloud ships made of actual cloud.

@ScottBeadle23 One of the things I love is seeing that adaption to culture and technology in the language across quite short periods – whether it is Spring-heeled Jack or the great airship flaps.
